The Buzz Oates RunSac Race Series is excited about a new Corporate Division that will allow local businesses to encourage fitness and compete against each other. We expect the format of this division to evolve as we have more participation.
The scoring process for the Corporate Division is similar to our Club/Team Division except for the total number members it takes to score a team. In the Club/Team Division you are required 5 scoring participants to complete a team. In the Corporate Division, it takes 3 participants to complete a team.
The corporate standings will be treated separate by gender. Meaning our scoring system will automatically calculate the best 3 women and best 3 men from each company. Team members are not required to run all of the same races together. Each team member can choose races that fit with their schedule. However, the more races each team member completes, the better their score will likely be. Everyone is encouraged to run 4 short runs (5k) and 4 long runs (10k and over), but are not required to do so.
The company's scores are determined by adding the finishing placement of each team's top three from the overall Buzz Oates RunSac Race Series standings. The lowest total team score wins! Participants under the age of 20 do not count towards team points due to their ineligibility for prize money.
Corporate Scoring Example:
Company A scores in placements 1st, 10th and 22nd (1+10+22 = 33). Each company is processed in the same manner and the lowest overall company score wins.
The series will reward the Corporate Division Champion with a Buzz Oates RunSac Race Series Corporate Champion Trophy.
IMPORTANT NOTE: An employee can represent both a Team/Club and a Company in the Corporate Division. However, a RunSac Series Participant cannot be a part of two or more Companies or Running Team/Clubs.
